Previously I stated that the
light from photo rejuvenation
devices has an invigorating and stimulating effect on our tissue cells causing
them to speed up their metabolism. This
speeding up leads to the cells doing what they do better and faster, like they
did when you were younger. So, you’re
asking yourself what does that really mean? Well, during your LED photo facial or LED photo-rejuvenation session, collagen and elastin are being produced,
which in the case of skin cells, translates into more youthful looking skin! You will see a smoothing of the
skin, a reduction of fine lines and wrinkles, areas of hyperpigmentation
returning to normal and conversely, areas of hypopigmentation taking on the
pigmentation of the surrounding skin. Also, the overall texture of the exposed
areas smooths and glows. The tone or
taughtness of the skin and the underlying structures improves. Many photorejuvenation device users report
stubborn blemishes begin to clear up and recurrent blemish issues begin to
diminish. However, please keep in mind
that not everyone gets the above results, many have a combination or one in
particular. Unfortunately, the “magic
bullet” that gets rave results for everyone all the time has yet to be
invented. Another effect that I find
interesting is that many LED
photo-rejuvenation users have reported feeling mildly uplifted during and
after their photorejuvenation
sessions, in others words they are in a better mood! This effect lends credence to Seasonal
Affective Disorder or SAD being aided by the use of or exposure to bright
light. |
