“Top Gun” Tactics To Meeting Women In Bars

Attending a speed dating function a few weeks ago I had the opportunity to meet several participants ready to begin the lucky dip. I asked Bob (an slightly overweight 45y/o middle aged man) why he prefers speed dating over meeting women in bars and he put it down to simply:

• Doesn't have to approach (Therefore no anxiety)
• 15-20 girls are there so he's bound to walk away with a few numbers (reinforces the numbers game)

Telling me this it made me realize that bars and clubs are no better or worse in meeting women, however ‘new age’ dating techniques such as TXT flirting, online dating, speed dating, balls n bashes aimed at singles are designed to eliminate the approach part of meeting people. I firmly believe that the only way to better yourself and become confident in approaching women is to push yourself beyond your comfort zone and rub shoulders with guys who know what they’re doing.

Approaching:
Being in the moment as opposed to being in your head is a great way to start conversations with women of a ‘cold’ approach. The longer it takes you to start a conversation when walking into a bar filled with people the more you talk yourself out of it.

Which brings me to stress how important it is to APPROACH within a matter of seconds of seeing the woman.
