Things to do in Cornwall So you’re going to Cornwall for your holidays surely you want to know what you can do there? Well there are plenty of things to do in Cornwall and I explore a select few of the activities available for you and your family in Cornwall. Theme Parks While they are far from your Alton Towers there are a select few theme parks in Cornwall that the children and adults will both enjoy. Flambards in Helston is the largest theme park in Cornwall with a rollercoaster and a log flume and a world war 2 tour, simply amazing. Beaches You can't go far in Cornwall without finding a beach, with hundreds of them up and down the north and south coasts! The best beaches (in my opinion) can be found at Newquay (Fistral beach), Gwithian and in Falmouth (Gyllyngvase beach). Cycling Cornwall being as rural as it is still has thousands of untouched cycle routes woven in and around the county. The best known route spanning from Bodmin to Padstow, better known as the "Camel Trail" which is an impressive 11 mile stretch going via Wadebridge. Restaurants Hundreds of pubs dotted around Cornwall may sound attractive for a dinner with the family, however why not dine in style at either Jamie Olivers Fifteen or Rick Stein's "The Seafood Restaurant". Woodland Again due to its rural nature Cornwall is full of forests with great cycle and walking routes. With the best known woods including; Tehidy Woods and Cardinham Woods. Fishing Several outstanding spots for fishing in Cornwall with Trenance, Trevose, Park Head, Rumps Point east of Padstow, Daymar Bay, Godrevy Point, Navax Point and Rumps point near St Agnes all being great spots for catching various fish off the rocks including; flat fish, rays, mackerel and Pollock!
