When you get started writing articles, you sometimes get stuck trying to figure out an angle for your article. For a lot of people, this seems to be the sticking point in their writing. They just don’t know what type of article to write. When I write, I usually use one of these techniques.
Numbered Tips. How many times have you seen one of those tips articles? I am sure you have them before. Everyone like a nice concise article where they can get the tips they need in an orderly and quick fashion. For example: “3 tips to a healthier you” or “5 tips to eating better.”
How to’s. Do it yourself types of people or someone looking for a way to do something tends to gravitate towards these articles. If there is something that you know how to do that you think others can benefit from, then here is your chance. Teach them how to design a web page or how to properly put up dry wall. For example: “How to set up a web page quickly and easily ."
Steps. These make great articles because many people need a plan laid out for them. Step by step instructions are a very popular article type. For example: “Step by step instructions on getting rid of acne.”
Review. The all important review. We all want someone to tell us why or why not to buy a product. This is no different. A review article is a great way to get page views as it tells someone about a product that they are thinking of buying. For example: An honest review of Perry’s Poodle training.”
Tell them what you are going tot ell them. This one is another popular one. In the first paragraph you tell them what you are about to tell them. For example: I will be talking about ways to get rid of acne. Then in the second paragraph you explain how to get rid of acne. In the third paragraph you tell them what you just told them. For example: I have just told you 3 ways I have gotten rid of my acne.
I hope that these techniques helped. There are many other techniques to use, but I find that these five seem to work the best for me and make writing articles much easier.
